Care may involve hand cleaning or other fiber-specific techniques, targeted stain treatment and controlled drying. A valuable or fragile rug is not automatically submerged or put through a standard machine process. Results depend on its existing condition, and old discoloration or damage may remain.

Questions we ask before collection
Do you know the fiber content, approximate age or any repair history? Has the rug ever bled color when damp, or does the foundation feel brittle? If you do not know, that is fine; do not experiment with water to find out. We can start with photos and identify what requires an in-person inspection.
Handling and expectations
Keep the rug dry and avoid folding it tightly around a damaged area. If an edge or fringe is loose, photograph it before rolling.
