Check the label and backing
Synthetic rugs and blends vary widely. A nylon pile, a flatweave blend and a rug with glued or latex backing may react differently to washing and drying. Share the care label if you have it, and tell us about shedding, peeling backing, discoloration or prior attempts to clean a stain.
What the off-site process can address
Inspection guides the cleaning method. Appropriate washing can address embedded soil and everyday spills, while particular stains or odors may need targeted treatment. The rug is dried before return. The method and outcome depend on the actual construction, so we do not promise that all synthetic rugs tolerate the same process.
Simple base price
Standard washing of one rectangular rug is $6 per square foot, plus $50 for rolled-and-ready pickup and delivery or $100 with furniture-removal help. If the backing is damaged or the rug has a persistent odor or stain, check the options before booking; extra treatment may need a custom quote.
Can every synthetic rug be washed?
No single answer fits every synthetic rug. The pile fiber may tolerate water while its glued backing, printed color or edge binding does not. Look at the underside for peeling, powdering or cracks and send a close photo if you see any of them. Rugs with unstable backing may need a different approach or may not be suitable for the standard wash.
Practical preparation
Measure the actual rug width and length, excluding fringe, then check whether a pad is attached or separate. Make a note of pet accidents, food spills, previous spot removers and any odor that returns after drying. The more complete the history, the easier it is to decide whether a standard wash covers the job or a custom quote is needed.
