What does “rug steam cleaning” mean?
In-home rug steam cleaning usually means hot-water extraction while the rug stays on the floor. The operator cleans the accessible face with an extraction wand, and the rug dries in your home. Ask whether the underside, fringe and floor beneath are included or protected. “Steam cleaning” is a common label; the exact equipment and process vary.
What changes with whole-rug washing?
Off-site washing moves the rug away from your floor. That allows the cleaner to inspect and handle it separately, access both sides and manage drying before return. It does not mean every rug is fully immersed. Wool, handmade rugs, unstable dyes and damaged backing may require a different treatment; discuss them before booking.

Orders with a cleaning subtotal under $250 have a $50 total pickup and return fee. Furniture Removal & Replacement is an optional +$50 flat fee. The $250 threshold uses the cleaning subtotal before furniture service or any other fees. A 5 × 8 ft rug totals $260 with FREE pickup and return, or $310 with furniture service. Rugs normally return in 7–10 business days from pickup.
