Plan a pickup that works for your building
Apartment pickups need a little planning. Before your requested collection date, check whether your building has delivery hours, a service entrance or elevator reservation requirements. Arrange any access your building requires and tell us about it when we confirm the pickup.
Please move furniture off the rug and have it rolled and ready. A pickup request is not a confirmed appointment; we confirm availability and scheduling with you. Our New York service area is New York City.
Know the price before you book
Washing is $6 per square foot, plus $50 for pickup and delivery per booking. A 5 × 8 ft rug is 40 square feet: $240 for washing and $290 including transportation. Measure the rug itself, excluding fringe.
Our online calculator currently quotes one rectangular rug per booking. For unusual shapes, several rugs or uncertain measurements, confirm the details before paying rather than entering an approximate rectangle.
What happens while your rug is away?
Your rug leaves your home for washing; this is not an in-home carpet-cleaning appointment. Plan for the room to be without it for 5–7 business days from pickup. If you are moving or expecting guests, leave room in your schedule for collection and return confirmation.
Before your collection
- Measure width and length in feet, excluding fringe.
- Check your building’s pickup and delivery access.
- Move furniture and roll the rug before collection.
- Share any material label, damage or specific cleaning concerns when scheduling is confirmed.
