Brooklyn building access matters
If the rug is in a brownstone or walk-up, check the stair width and how tightly it can be rolled. In a larger building, ask whether pickups use a freight elevator, a service entrance or a reserved time window. These are building rules, not features of the online booking form; put the details in your request so we can confirm the route before pickup.
Customers in Williamsburg, Park Slope, Bay Ridge and other Brooklyn neighborhoods may have different curb or lobby access. If your building requires a certificate of insurance or advance notice for a vendor, ask management for the requirement before selecting a date and tell us before payment. We can then review whether the pickup can be arranged.
Which price applies?
The $6-per-square-foot online rate is for standard rectangular area-rug washing. For example, a 6 × 9 ft rug is 54 square feet, or $324 to wash. Add $50 per booking when it is rolled and ready, or choose the $100 furniture-removal pickup and delivery option. The selected date is not confirmed until we review the address and access.
Choose the right rug-care path
Portable rugs are picked up for off-site washing; this is not installed-carpet cleaning. A handmade rug, unusual backing, unstable dyes, pet urine or an old stain may need an assessment and a custom quote. Tell us what happened and when, and include photos if possible. Do not use a new stain remover just before collection without telling us, because previous products can affect treatment.
